Every year at Cornerstone, we have what we call our “By Faith Benefit”, in which we all gather together for one cause, and that is to reach people around the world. This year, however, the traditional name of “By Faith Benefit” will be given a face-lift, and given a new modern name. The new name from this year and forward will be “Global Effects”. The reason we decided to go with Global Effects, was because the impact that our church is having here locally in Fort Worth, Texas, is having lasting global effects here and around the world. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000.00 to reach people in vast parts of the world including, India, Nepal and many other parts of Asia and Europe. In this post is a link to download a pledge card so that you can have a part in our efforts too.

We are always delighted to have you in our services, and this coming Sunday will be our yearly Back to Church Sunday, which is a push to bring community together, for one purpose, and that is to bring glory to Christ. We hope you and your family have a blessed week, and year.

This Sunday, we will start off with a new series entitled God’s Game Plan, in which we will set out to find God’s will for our lives. So many times, we will set out to do something whether it’s to start going to church more or giving to God in Tithes or being more involved in worship, we always find stumbling blocks that get in the way, and we can’t seem to find how to overcome them. In this series, that is exactly what we will be doing and we will see real life stories on how this can be done through Christ. You don’t want to miss out.

This Father’s Day, we want to extend an invitation to you and your family to be in our services this Sunday. Come and join us this Sunday as we celebrate what our mom’s mean to us and why we should be grateful for what they have done in our lives. Often times we take things for granite and this is not one subject to take lightly.

This Sunday, Pastor Herrell will be bringing a message entitled Strengthening Your Family. It will be a message focused on the family, and you won’t want to miss out.

This Saturday we will be hosting another men’s breakfast at Our Place Restaurant off of Beach and Basswood, right down the street from Cornerstone. Come join us as we have a great time together, and don’t forget, we will be having a work day at the church afterwards doing some yard work and mechanical work. Next week, the service time is going to be changed to 4:30 pm and there will be a Super Bowl party to follow at 5:30 in the fellowship hall. We will start right at 4:30, so we can be out by kickoff. You won’t want to miss out. The food situation will be a usual bring food for your family, and grills will be provided if you bring anything that needs to be grilled. (You will receive another email/post from Cornerstone next Sunday afternoon just as a reminder.)

Pastor Herrell is officially back from India, and he will be bringing the Word to us this Sunday. Our morning worship starts at 10:30 A.M.
